Happy New Years!

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's amazing how fast time flies before you realise tomorrow is 2011... So so so so strange, and now I have to get use to writing '11' on dates e.g 1/1/11. Of course, everyone at the moment is summarising their new year resolutions but I can't seem to think of much yet so I'm just going to talk about the highlights of 2010 that is currently on my head. This year is probably one of my favourite years and even I had been through bad situations too. Even so, it doesn't stop me from listing all my faourite memories of the year.

  • Going to Sydney to visit my lovely cousins and exploring the city a lot better.
  • Going to Gold Coast and Brisbane and doing all the fun tourist-y stuff such as going to the themeparks.
  • Going overseas for the first time ever to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Macau.
  • From that, I finally got to go to Disney Land for the first time ever.
  • Going to Perth to visit my other cousins.
  • Spending so much fun with my best friends throughout the year (you know who you are guys :P)
  • Going to Taylor Swift's concert, boombox tour, meeting Poh.
  • Having a proper blog that I update frequently on.
  • Reading and admiring all the stylish people out there in the world.
  • Celebrating Halloween properly for the first time.
  • Having my braces on
  • My grandma visiting Australia
  • Going on work experience and meeting some nice people.
  • Getting a dog.
  • Overall, being optimistic :D
That's all that I can really of at the moment that stands out from every other year. I think I am just going to spend my NYE at the beach seeing the fireworks and then go home and sleep...
Comment and tell me some of your favourite memories of 2010! Even if you're a pessimist, you do have a good memory, I'm sure of that.

I was eating a tiramisu cake slice with a chopstick because I didn't know if there were any spoons.

green dress- unknown, Forever New belt, Forever New bag, Siren heels,
So my friends and I had a Christmas outing two days before Christmas and it's starting to become one of our annual traditions. It's actually really fun because we buy presents for one another and we all open it one by one, and perhaps explaining our challenging stories in order to find the perfect presents for each other. We bought a Sushi platter and had a picnic near Torrens... (so asian lol).
I could not find anything Christmas-y looking in my wardrobe besides this greeeeeeeen dress which makes me look like a TREE haha. I actually decided to wear one of my heels that I've never worn out before but I've learnt a lesson... To not wear shoes with a thin heel if you know you're going to be walking around A LOT because you end up getting these terrible things called 'blisters'.

Presents that I wrapped up + our Christmass tree a few weeks ago when it did not have lights or any presents under it...

Merry, Merry Christmas to everyone who is reading this right now! I hope you will receive all the presents that you have hoped for and that you spend the day with the people you love most.
I can't believe it's Christmas already which means that 2010 is ending very, very soon. I've done so much and learnt so much this year but I'll talk about that in another post since it's not Christmas- related... I went out for a Christmas outing with my friends yesterday where we all exchanged presents and had a little picnic. I would like to thank them so much for the thoughtful and gorgeous presents that they gave me!!! I'm going to spend Christmas day with my family tomorrow and I can't wait for it, especially when they open the presents I bought for them. So once again... MERRY CHRISTMAS/ HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Boombox Tour

With Kevin (Kevjumba), and Timothy (Traphik) and Lydia Paek (below)
Botika dress, Bardot blazer, Fcuk belt, black tights, Globalize booties, Forever New clutch
Yeh this is a super delayed post, but I've been so lazy to post hehe...
Here are some pictures from the Boombox tour which is basically a bunch of famous youtubers who come and perform their songs in Melbourne and Adelaide. My friends and I went VIP so we were able to attend the meet and greet later that night. Overall, it was a really enjoyable night!
I wore my dress with a blazer and tights since it was a pretty cold, and windy night.

This lookbook may be taken as a little 'creepy' but I really like the idea of the shoot. I'm loving what they are wearing too.
Oh and I've also finally joined Twitter world! You can follow me here if you like.

Floral Blazer

Sportsgirl dress, Floral blazer bought from Sydney, Floral badge from Gold Coast, Forever New polka dot tights, Wittner sandals.
I wore this outfit to one of my best friend's birthday. I recently purchased these comfortable heels and it was my first time wearing it out. I also think that I have this weird obsession with birthday cakes though I don't always enjoy eating them and I think I like them because of the candles and how they glow nicely in the dark.
I also ripped my black polka dot stockings... Now I need to go and buy another one... That's if I can be bothered haha.

Beach Inspiration

Summer is the time when almost everyone will say, 'let's go to the beach'. I guess I can be one of them but I don't go to the beach to swim but rather, I go to feel the atmosphere and walk on the wet sand with the waves crashing gently at my feet. Though I haven't been yet because the weather sucks! 2threads and Billabong wanted to know what inspires me when it comes to beach fashion. Some of the essentials in my opinion are a nice big bag to put your stuff in, a big hat to protect yourself from the sun, sunscreen, comfortable clothes, and sunnies!
Here are three different outfits that I would wear to the beach made from Polyvore though I'm still not 100% sure if the shoes I picked are nice enough... Not a very big fan of sandals to be honest.

Beach Wear

Alexander Wang shirt, Ann Demeulemeester skirt, Burberry sandals, Gucci sunglasses, Black floppy hat,

Beach wear

The Row Wilford vest, Current/ Elliot shorts, F21 top, Corso Como sandals, Straw hat, Raybans,

Romantic

Albino dress, Giuseppe Zanotti wedges, Fur Basket bag, Birdcage pendant, Anthony Peto boater hat
What would you wear to the beach? (Yeh, besides bathers)...

Summer Colours

Bardot dress, Miss shop clutch, Betts wedges,
I wore this to my little sister's Graduation yesterday night. The weather was better than what I expected and I got to wear my wedges that I've bought a year ago but never worn! You can't see them but the platform is made out of cork and so the shoes are really light and very comfy to wear.

Like a Fat Boy Loves Cake

I made this small chocolate mud cake for a school assignment last week. I thought it would be really hard to make but it was actually quite easy though the chocolate techniques did require a lot of patience. It was overall scrumptious but it had way too much chocolate for my liking. I never ended up finishing it either...

Speaking of cakes, my friends and I bought different slices of cakes to try and it was so delicious to try assorted flavours and it is always a bonus when the strawberries are actually sweet! The only cakes I don't like are cheesecakes... because I don't like cheese haha.
